About Us

Welcome to the Lompoc Alano Club! We are a non-profit - 501(c)(3) - corporation designed to bring a message of experience, strength and hope to those seeking recovery from all forms of addiction. Since our incorporation in 1971, we have helped thousands of alcoholics, addicts and the recovery community find solutions and a new way to live. The Alano Club also offers newly recovering alcoholics and addicts a place to go to take a break and have a cup of coffee with men and women who understand the program and the process of recovery. We are not affiliated with any of the Anonymous groups that we host but we share a common devotion to the recovery community. We are a separate and distinct origination, autonomous in our dealings with the community and other originations.

Our mission

To provide:

• a centralized location to promote and coordinate the activities of 12-Step groups in the area.
• a place where those in recovery and in need of help can contact someone.
• a club where those in recovery, their families and guests can meet for social activities.
• a meeting place where out-of-town members can meet and visit with local members.

The Little Red House

The house that we call home today was originally leased to us back in the early 70's for $85/mo. by one of our co-founders, Ms. Pearl T. Included in the lease was an option to purchase the location which we decided to take early on. For nearly 50 years we have owned and maintained this simple amd humble single-family residence. Over the years the building has gone through many renovations, modifications and repairs and we continue to treat it with love and gentle consideration. We host 23 meetings each week and our attendance averages 250-300. Each group pays a nominal fee as rent and the Club supplies coffee and various other sundries free of charge.
